this product is great. it works well as was described it the discription . it works well on acnes but it takes more than a day for the acnes to heal, about a week or may be less.

Having had spots for a very long time I have tried many different treatments for them and this has to be one of the best I have come across!! It may seem quite pricey but as another review said given the amount of money spent on treatments over the years this is money well spent. Personally this device worked very well for me and I would recommend this to anyone who suffers from spots.

I was very dubious about this product when I first ordered it as there was only one other review for it on amazon, but having read a few reviews on other websites I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. I have suffered from terrible acne since my teens and always dreaded waking up and feeling a massive zit under the skin, knowing that it would be huge by the end of the day, which seems to happen when I have a special occasion coming up. This product definitely works, you press it against the skin where you feel a spot coming and press on and the light flashes for about 10sec and gets slightly warm. You repeat this once. I found this was fantastic, the spot didn't grow anymore! and actually started to shrink. You might have to repeat the treatment a few times over the next couple of days but it definitely prevents spots coming to a head and therefore prevents the unsightly redness and scaring which goes with them. I know its very expensive but when I add up how much I have spent on other acne lotions etc over just a year then the no! no! is definitely very cost effective. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has moderate to severe acne, not just the odd pimple. I only wish it was invented years ago!

I really rate this product. I have a pituitary disease and my hormones are mostly artificially provided by drugs. One of them increases oils and congestion around the chin area, giving rise to whiteheads, blackheads, big lumps deep down which slowly and painfully emerge as well as acne patches. They have been more controlled with this product. Instead of two weeks of large pulsing lumps which take forever to go, then I find using twice a day the spots and lumps go within 3/4 days. I find the unit tip does get hot when using, so I tend to do three areas , stop and clean my teeth for example, do another three areas etc. It is simple to use, clear signals given when in use, just recharge after each use. It doesn`t take long either. No refills to purchase. Worth every penny.

I have been using the Lumie Clear Device for my adult acne for 8 weeks. I am 38 and have suffered from mild - moderate acne since my mid 20's. I have tried lots of things over the years such as retin a, proactiv, salicylic acid, birth control pills, various creams and lotions all with little of no effect (With the exception of Roaccutane which did completely clear up my skin, but gave me anxiety attacks for a further 3 years and made my hair really thin so I wouldnt risk taking them again. Always the optimist and willing to try anything to improve my skin I signed up for a 12 week trial of the Lumie and boy am I glad that I did !! My worst areas are my forehaed and right lower cheek/chin so have used the Lumie pressed right up against my skin on each of these areas for 15 mins daily. It has a timer and automatically switches off when the recommended time of 15 mins is over, which is good as Ive fallen asleep a few times with it resting on my forehead. Lumie say that most people notice a difference in just 4 weeks with excellent results in 8-12 weeks. I noticed an improvement after 2 weeks of use - my skin was less red and spots were fading a lot quicker than normal. I did still get new spots (But no where near as many as normal) up until 6 weeks of use but the last couple of weeks I haven't had any new breakouts at all. I have even been able to swap my make up from the heavy camouflage covermark foundadtion that I have worn for years to light coverage Bare Minerals powder foundation. I can honestly say that I am over the moon with the results I have had from using Lumie Clear and hope that continuing to use it keeps the acne at bay.

I have been using the Lumieclear machine for 7 weeks now, for at least 15mins directly on the skin. I use babywipes to clean the surface of the machine. I am seeing good results-you are supposed to see changes within 4 weeks and real results within 12weeks. Although my skin is not clear my spots are healing a lot more quickly than they do usually. I would recommend it for mild to moderate acne. I would say mine is severe and it has helped but not to the extent I would like. However,by the time the twelve weeks (the length of the trial) are up I may have better news!

I would not recommend this product,it is very small so if you need to apply to anything more than the tinniest of areas it is going to be a very long job.It has not so far given me anything like the results i would like,glad i did not pay anymore for this product

I have combination skin with totally clear cheeks but a congested chin. I also had red marks (unpitted scars) from previous spots on my chin. I had tried to minimise this by not moisturising my chin, but it had no effect, and my chin ended up with lumps underneath the surface and dryness on top. I had a facial where the therapist recommended using this or a similar AHA product, and she told me to apply it twice a day only on the conjested / marked areas, then put my normal am/pm moisturiser on top and over the rest of my face. I have done this only three times so far, and already the area is clearing up and about 75% better. The scarring is fading fast, the dryness has gone, and the little blackhead are going. My skin is starting to look like a baby's. Absolutely brilliant. Also, it does not sting at all on me.

WITH ABOUT 2 MONTHS USE, THE DIFFERENCE IS VERY OBVIOUS.I HAVE SUFFERED SEVERE ACNE IN THE PAST AND NEEDED A SOLUTION WHICH SKIN DOCTORS HAS PROVIDED.THOUGH MAY CAUSE SOME GREASINESS WHEN USED, IT STILL WORKS PRETTY GOOD.I WISH I HAD STARTED USING IT EARLIER.

"Oh my god" this product is a wonder cream! i recomend this product for anyone suffering with skin imperfections such as acne scaring or an uneven skin tone. when i read that this cream was linked to the same affects as a chemical peel i had my doughts but was amazed at the results. i have suffered with mild acne on my chin since as long as i can remember and have tried everything on the market with unhappy results untill now. i now have new clear skin thanks to this product. it works by shedding the top layer of skin and i use it along with a micro dermabrasion scrub and the affects our amazing it is unlike any other similar products because it doesnt cause your skin to flake instead it balances the skins moisture levels. My skin is no longer dull and blotchy but positively glowing thank you skin doctors! one word of warning though to consumers be carefull of sun beds when using this product it doubles the effect and can harmfully dammage your skin as it breaks down skins natural uv protection always use spf with this product. Always read the product label.

I have been using this for the last 4 months and it really does work. If used twice daily the improvement is noticeable in about 2 month's time. It's a great alternative to chemical peel but because it contains acid you should probably get a trial size pot first (available from ebay) just to make sure you do not have an allergic reaction to it.

If you suffer from mild to moderate acne/spots and/or oily/greasy skin BUY THIS PRODUCT! It works, and quickly! However, be very careful if you are using it for the first time. It is a strong chemical and if your skin isn't used to it, it will cause irritation at first. I found with myself that it caused redness/dryness/intense itchyness when used for the first few days. So I recommend you definitely start with the 2.5% gel and use VERY sparingly for the first few applications. Also make sure you have a good moisturiser at hand for when the dry/tense skin comes. After using it for a while (maybe say around 1 to 2 weeks) the side effects become much less severe as the skin develops more tolerance to it, by which time you can start to apply it a little more generously. It cleared my acne almost completely in about 3 weeks. My skin hasn't looked this good in years (I'm 19 now). I have my confidence back! For my skincare routine I use a salicylic acid product in the morning, and apply benzoyl peroxide before bed (after cleansing). I always moisturise after using either products, but is especially important after applying benzoyl peroxide. I use "Freederm Antibacterial Zone Balancing Moisturiser 50ml" or a salicylic acid based moisturiser such as "Burts Bees - Natural Acne Solutions Daily Moisturizing Lotion". Benzoyl peroxide works because it breaks down in contact with skin, producing benzoic acid and oxygen. Because Propionibacterium Acnes (the bacterium that causes acne) cannot survive in an oxygen-rich environment, it is killed by the presence of benzoyl peroxide. At the same time the benzoic acid acts as a peeling agent helping to prevent dead skin plugging up hair follicles, and revealing newer, more healthy looking skin. To summarise I found this to be a very effective treatment for acne and I highly recommend it. Although like any highly effective medicine it has side effects, but found them only to be prominent during the first week or so of use and can be minimized by using it sparingly at first, starting with the 2.5% gel, and applying moisturiser.

It really dries up my skin. I bought it to fight pimples on my face and now my cheeks are dry-very bad.I think it depends on what type of skin you have. I am one of the unlucky ones.

I've had problems with acne for quite some time. I've tried all the brands they sell in supermarkets - Clearasil, Oxy, etc but none of this worked. I tried rubbing salt into my skin, oxytetracycline antibiotics...but with no improvement. Eventually, my GP decided to prescribe me PanOxyl and it's been fantastic! The only time I've ever had problems with it is when I've forgotten to put it on - proving that it definitely works!

I am 59. I got acne 3 years ago (I have never had a problem with my skin before). It has been so distressing as my face was constantly covered in white heads and swollen and painful pimples. I have spent so much money on useless creams (freederm and other similar creams) they did not help at all. When I tried panoxyl 2.5 the next day my face was completely covered in white heads. It was as if all the poison came out in one go. By the second day my face was less raised but quite red (like sunburn). By day 3 my skin was completely clear and has stayed that way. I have no scars and I have only had to use a tiny bit of cream on two little pimples in two months. This stuff is absolutely brilliant and so cheap. I have seen similar creams for much more money.

I don't have acne all over my face, just the odd breakout. Occasionally, however, I seem to get fairly large patches of skin coloured bumps under my skin which stay for months without actually coming out. About a year ago I went to the Doctor and he suggested I buy this gel (much cheaper here than on prescription) as it is used to peel the skin and the reason for these bumps is likely to be that my skin is not renewing itself enough. I used the gel and got an immediate effect, the skin certainly starts peeling, bumps come to the surface and disappear and then the drying starts. I would suggest using this not more than once a day, as the leaflet advises, as it really does get straight to work and after about a week of applications my skin is sorted, albeit now quite dry. The texture of your skin whilst using it is likely to be a little rough while it sorts itself out, but this quickly goes so don't panic!

Have been using now for 6 weeks on the chin area due to scarring and results have been quite amazing so far, scars are less noticable and one scar which was quite raised is now even with my skin so i know after time it will get even better, I use twice a week as using on the face does hurt a bit but providng you dont use too much pressure it is bearable and well worth the results. My skin tone is better and lines less noticeable around the eye area but you must be gentle around the eye area .I use argan oil afterwards to ensure it penetrates the skin well after treatment as i know argan oil is a very good healer . They say good results should be visible after 3 months so really am impressed so far. You can use your skin roller more but i only use twice a week

The seller was incredibly helpful throughout the sales process and kept me informed of the timescales for delivery. The product was received as described but as I've only being using it for a few weeks, I'm not yet in a position to comment on the effectiveness of it.
